Known problems will be listed here as they are found. The current list consists of problems discovered since the first release of the 2008 program modules.

The problems documented here relate to the core Tax Assistant modules only (i.e. TaxBase, Tax Return, Partnership Tax Return and Repayment Claim).

Installation of updates on Windows 2000 systems
Missing file gdiplus.dll 
If you install a Tax Assistant update on to a Windows 2000 system, you may get an error message that refers to a missing file called gdiplus.dll. If this occurs, you will be able to use the 2008 Tax Return programs but you will not be able to produce the PDF file for printing an "identical" return.
To resolve this problem you must obtain the Microsoft file gdiplus.dll and copy it into the Windows 2000 system folder, which is normally C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32.

When you have done this, re-run the installation of the update, which should now operate correctly.
